And such an intelligent concept!
If it is "a fact", could there be an "Intelligent Designer" behind it?
Why or why not?

The galaxy was built by dust particles and it's the best theory yet by a German scientist and most agree of the formation and then the massive nuclear explosion and the fusion draped back creating the sun the rest of the planets is history in the making.

Earth stood afar created and the fact that air was created and water formed the evolution process was evident.

If we are mutations of life created from water we are talking a billion years of evolution and that is a very large number to look at how long the earth has actually been here.
The power of the Almighty God comes into play at the same time and the Bible speaks of it.

This controversy between science and religion has been a battle over many years with the Bible to prevail of things to come and things that have past.

In any regards to spirit that is very much alive today and a new entity is built and very well alive today, but man has no search in that direction only in the galaxy we look for answers and for those who believe the answers are written in the Bible in equipoise to the creation of the galaxy.

Evolution is not a concept. It is an observed natural phenomenon. If you have ever observed a birth or a death, you have observed evolution, the change in a population with respect to the frequency of traits in its collective genome.

There COULD be an intelligent designer. There is, however, no evidence that there is one. The apparent "design" of life in the natural world is understood by and predicted by evolutionary theory. There is no problem there.

For all anyone knows, there could be a God (that's what one means by intelligent designer, so I'll just say it).. but the designer has undergone great pains to hide from us.

Science, of course, is neutral with respect to claims about any supernatural designer, or indeed, anything supernatural. If something is not apparent in the natural world, Science does not address it, pro or con.

Evolution is a fact. Organisms change over time. They do so quite happily without any need for a designer intelligent or otherwise.

If you look at the construction of the human body, you will see lots of compromises that have come about because of evolution. Any designer that came up with our body would fail the examination.

The thing about evolution (as we know it) is this: it happens without the intervention of an "intelligent designer". If there was an "intelligent designer" then it wouldn't be evolution -- it'd be "intelligent design".

Why would an INTELLIGENT designer design children with Mental and or Physical disabilities who can't and or shouldn't procreate?
I could see a SADISTIC designer doing so, but intelligent?
Nah.

A universe with a god would be completely different to one without.

I'm not generally a religious person, but I don't rule out the possibility that evolution could've been started by an "intelligent designer". It doesn't work the way it should 100% of the time, so it is far from the perfection that Christians claim their god to possess, but it's not an impossibility. I think it is just one of those things that will be debated until the end of time.

It would have to have been a terribly cruel designer given the often brutal survival seen in nature and the fact that 99% of all species that ever were are extinct.

It's not merely an idea, it's a scientific theory.
I guess a "designer" could come into play, but since fossils have been found that are millions of years old, it would have to be one of the gods that predates the God of the Old Testament.

There could be, however the current ID hypothesis has no evidence to back it up, nor is it consistent with any of the know facts. I also believe that it's definitions are a bit contradictory, but I'm not up on the complete hypothesis.
