Effexor works differently for everyone. It may not work for you. It takes about two weeks for any med to take efffect and really get in your system. Give it some time and if you feel it is not helping talk to your dr. You made need something different or just a higher dosage.

It worked for me, but then again I am extremely sensitive to medications. Don't assume it won't work if you're not feeling effects on 75 mg. Also, know that dosage does not correspond to the level of depression a person is feeling. It is all a matter of how your body processes the medication. Feel better!

hey i just got prescribed that, been takin 37.5mg for this week, atart takin 75 tomorrow. is it not working for you? i felt better 2 days on it, like i couldnt sleep and had lots of energy. which prob isnt really good, but i feel better when im not tired all the time. i have yet to see bout the 75mg dosage tho....

could u tell me if u are takin it and what is up with it if so?

No. 75 mg didn't help me. I didn't start feeling better until I got up to 225 mg. I now take 300 mg.

I take 150mg a day and that works fine.
