75% of the population calls itself Christian, dozens of TV and radio channels, and yet they can hardly hold ground against the horrible Satan and his atheist cohorts.

What's wrong with this picture?

Sunday shopping and increased leisure activities.

Once upon a time, church was the only game in town, kept that way by laws which made it a crime to open a shop on a Sunday or engage in other activities until after a certain hour.

That made it easier for churches to get the faithful to attend, not just to worhsip but also as a social outlet and a chance to catch up with friends and family one hadn't seen during the week.

Come the advent of Sunday trading, 24 hour malls and sporting activities which attract huge crowds on a Sunday and the numbers started to dwindle.

Most people are still nominally *something*, but it's mostly cultural, and the most they enter a church is for baptisms, weddings and funerals.

Increasingly, not even then.

Satan obviously likes retail therapy!

Cheers :-)

Because maybe some Christians need alot of work. The first problem is their references. The bible is an interesting little piece of literature, isn't it? It's been used to enslave, murder, and repress everyone who isn't just like the person who's using it to enslave. I don't know anyone who has a problem with "Christians" who are understanding, loving, and caring, it's the other idiots that the rest of the world can't stand. Leave the judgements up to God, or whoever you believe in. If you want to be a Christian, be one. Leave the rest of the masses out of. Religion, or lack there of, should be more personal and private than anyother subject.

The majority of Christians do not know enough about the Word of God to realize that the devil has already been defeated. Christ reigned victorious over Satan on the Cross and went into the earth and took the keys of death from the devil. All Christians need to do is stand against evil. It has no power except what we give it.

Why can't the word of the gospel be effectively spread ...?
Hmm... Maybe you could put it on a piece of "bread"?

Exodus 31:15 " . . . whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death."

HMM... Anyone who works on the Sabbath shall be put to death.
Sabbath is on Saturday. The Hebrew and Greek words for Sabbath gave us the word Saturday in most European languages.

This story is not related to Christians: My former bosses, 2 Jewish brothers, worked on the Sabbath. They're still alive and working on Saturdays. Shabbat Shalom. Shabbat is the Hebrew word for "Sabbath" or Saturday.

Have you ever thought you may not be right? The word isn't effectively spread not because of lack of exposure, people hear it and simply don't see the truth in it. I don't mean to offend but the hubris in many of those who are religious is overwhelming.

What's wrong with this picture?

That 75% of Americans are happy with accepting zero (0) proof to convince them of something.

FYI, atheists aren't cohorts of Satan. Christians are the only ones who could be working with him because they are the only ones who believe in him. Are you a cohort of leprechauns?

Non-Christians simply aren't willing to lower their moral standards so to worship a sadistic, immoral, killer Jesus-God who drowned, plagued, and slaughtered millions (more than Hitler), conspired to have his own kid/self brutally beaten and killed, and repeatedly COMMANDED his followers to kidnap, rape, hurt, and kill others. Christians can have him.

I'm not a Satan cohort, mainly cause Satan is a fictional character.

Most atheists demand evidence upon which to base beliefs.

I don't know.. let's see... because they lay the blame of evil on others and don't look at their own doorstep? Much of the evil in the world has been in the name of Jesus. Sweep your own, hon, before casting blame on others.
