In the Christian faith there is only One God!
Yes in other countries and cultures they have believe their are many Gods.Gods of the Earth.I don't know all those religions and there beliefs!

Every religion believes there is a higher power (or powers) that created and now controls their lives, and they call their "top guy" by a variety of names.
You must live in a small community if you don't know that. I cannot believe you have never met a Jew or a Muslin or a Buddhist or a member of one of the many other major religions. Do some research. You may find you believe in things that today you don't even know exist.

Some religions describe a pantheon of gods, like the Hindu religion in which they don't actually have a completely accurate count of all the gods because each village may have its own local Deity on top of the major ones.

There is only One Supreme Being and Creator of the Universe.
Jacob is quite correct, God did command us not to have any other Gods before Him...
However, anything or anyone a person puts at the center of their lives can become a "god" to that person.
Yes, even science can become a "god"....
Although the One Supreme Creator, God, invented it.
Think about it.

Well I was raised to believe there is one God, however, I was just reading this novel and the lady died and went to heaven and God was two married people, like parents which also makes since, maybe we don't just have our father we have our mother too. It makes moer since for our world to be watched over by a mom and a dad don't you think.
