My partner is English and we live in Wales and I don't see him as an "immigrant". Its not as though he needed a VISA!!! We're all part of the UK.

He gets teased a bit but has only really experienced nastiness from morons and idiots who are best ignored.

Begtan - who told you that you "have to learn Welsh" to livein Wales? I'm Welsh and don't speak Welsh (other than a tiny bit learned at school) and neither do most of the people I know!!! Welsh is a compulsory subject at school up to age 16 but noone "makes" adults learn it in Wales! And actually the number of native Welsh speakers is very very smal, although it is growing. . .

Scotland, England, and Wales all belong to the same nation, along with Northern Ireland.

No, but in Wales, you need to learn Welsh! I think the number of native speakers - and the insistance that children learn it, gives them more of a chance to suceed in independance than Scotland!

no what does our union flag represent ? england ireland[north] scotland wales. and i dont want e-mails saying our flag is the unoin jack, either its only called as such when its flying on a jack-staff on a navel ship.
so you wont be emigrating you'll still be in one part of english /scotish/welsh/irish soil.

If you know its illegal then why are you doing it?

You might want to check with immigration and see if you need a visa and work permit...
