I have pussed filled red bumps that leaves dark circular scars after they heal. So far, they've appeared on my legs and on my upper body. Can anyone please tell me what they are and why they keep appearing. After one would heal, a couple weeks later, another would show. It starts off looking like a mosquito bite, but when it grows, it's painful. It is hard underneath the puss. It usually takes a week or more to fully heal. Please, if anyone can offer me any information, I would really appreciate it!! Thank you!!

They are body pimples. These often appear more when a person has a Vitamin E and/or Zinc deficiency.

The fact that it's one or two at a time, makes me think insect bites rather than allergy or illness. Also, maybe ringworm. The picture you showed looks kind of like it and what you describe sounds similar. That's my unprofessional opinion. Probably should get him in to the doctor. If possible, take some pictures of the rashes in with you when you go, just in case he doesn't happen to have any at the time of the appointment. Good luck.

I believe you have the same condition as me.. It is hard and annoying , and for me took almost 7 years to figure out.
It sounds like you have Hidradenitis Suppurativa.
Reoccuring boils , in areas like legs, thighs, groin, armpits.. etc.. where skin rubs... they leave nasty black/blue/purple marks when they leave... and almost always get another.. seems like you are in beggining stage 2. here is a wikipedia link... print it out and take it to your Derm or DOC ..asap!!

there are support groups in MSN and yahoo where there are many people with this problem.. IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE UNCLEAN, OR NASTY. YOU DO NOT HAVE AN STD.
There is no known cure for HS yet....
