I went out with this guy a few times and then a friend of his told me that he is gay. We stopped going out but I never confronted him. I still like him and I really don't think he's gay but he migth be bi. How can I find out without having to ask him?

Sounds like he has a bad friend. If he went out with you, chances are, he's not gay. Most gay men would rather stay home than go out with females, if they were really gay..
So, give him a call and tell him you wanna meet up. If he still wants to see you, he isn't gay!
As for being bi - well, live it up while you can - just practice safe sex!!! Either way, call him but don't ask him if you want him in your life.. he will be very offended if he isn't!!!!

If you two are friends, you can just ask and he will just answer. That is the best way to find out and not look stupid. Unless of course you have a problem with it.

the word gay is so overused now
this guy i used to go out with used to get called gay all the time, but jokingly...
if his friend didnt seem to be joking you may wanna delve deeper, ask some of his other friends, cheq how he acts around other guys...
If he was the one who asked you out (was he?) then he prolly isnt gay.
