Yes!
DLPs have always been the best HDTVs. The new samsung HL-T# line of 1080p LED DLPs do not have the old rainbow effect, support stereoscopic 3d (high refresh rate 120hz), have the best picture (I've ever seen), & are well priced!
The samsung DLP I linked was selling for ~$1,500. In contrast, top of the line, 50 inch, 1080p plasma/LCD screens are going to cost about $3,000 - $6,000+.
All you have to do is see one in action. The picture is, hands down, better then any flat panel.

NO, LCD is the best. It is brighter then Plasma and a ton brighter then DLP. Also LCD is very thing and DLP tv's take up a lot of space.

Of course. I have a Samsung 61".
But all 3 technologies are very good. Plasmas are considered slightly superior because of higher contrast levels and better black levels.
According to "Home Theater" magazine, the best plasma currently available is the Pioneer Elite KURO Pro-110FD. It runs about $6,000 but you can probably find it for less.

no, dlps are not better then anything out there. you have to sit directly infront of it to not get a faded images on sides or top and bottom. lamp life is really short on any projector, the only thing good about them is that they are cheap.

No projection TV is better than a plasma or LCD. As others have stated, the viewing angle is very poor and they are quite large compared to the other types. http://schoolofhdtv.com/
