Good question!
Disease is any departure from health with impaired function in the body. The root cause of healing may be difficult to explain because there are healing that requires the intervention of God or any supernatural beliefs. It is sometimes the faith of a person that is a big contributory to the healing process. Sometimes science have not yet explained what really the root cause is.
Thanks for asking. I know this deserves an after the three you get. A star for you too. Have a great day!

You are assuming that all disease is caused by people's habits and life style. That's so not so. I was born with a very rare blood disorder that maybe 500 people are born with in the US each year. What did I do to cause it?? The only thing that was different in my mother's pregnancy with me was that she developed shingles which is the chicken pox virus. Because of the blood disease I also developed a dislocation of my hip due to the femur not developing correctly I sure didn't do any thing to develop that. Since I was teated with chemo and radiation as a means of getting the blood disorder under control, I've also developed cancer twice since than, first cervical and now breast cancer. 50 years ago radiation and chemo was a lot different and the repercussions for long term health were less. So what have I done to make my self develop these diseases?

The root cause of disease is the 'personality'.
Personality causes disease because it's a rigid structure which holds one's energy into a static form. Because one's energy is being held in tension, which increases as one ages and doesn't transform one's personality, then the result is that the body doesn't have enough free energy to repair itself and the result is gradual break down of the container - the body - acquired disease and eventually death is the result. The reality of holding onto one's personality is what is sucking the most amount of free energy in one's system, which is that which doesn't allow your body to heal.
I watched the videos and I also am aware that epigenetics gets near to finding the answer that personality is the cause of disease, so the science is close to proving this.
For detail of this I wrote an article which one can read here:
"Epigenetics & Awareness: Science & Spirituality grow closer"
http://phoenixtools.org/articles/causeofdisease.htm
So then the question remains of what to do about it. While I agree that eating healthy, exercising and meditating are ways to take charge of one's life and by taking in things that don't harm oneself to start with and by reducing stress, this can increase one's level of health, but still enough energy does not come from these kinds of things, to heal oneself 'completely'.
What healthy things do for us in general is raise our free energy, because then our body doesn't have to spend so much energy to clean things up, there is more left over to do 'healing' instead of all of it being used to clean up the mess from the day's damage. The same idea here of what happens when one fasts, resting one's digestive process, raises one's awareness or free energy and additional healing happens to other tissues during a fast. So it's good, one is at least not getting sick, but to heal the wound of personality it will take a whole lot more energy than this.
The 2nd video I didn't really like the conclusion. While it's true one has to become a master of one's life and take charge and responsibility for one's life - to not feel like a victim and it's good to get out of dependency, in the end it is not a matter of mind over matter...
One will eventually try all the ways to heal oneself and then find out at the end of it, that one's efforts did not succeed to do the final healing. There will always be something that one has to work on to heal, after one thing is healed another thing pops up.
The thing to realize about this is that because personality is the cause of disease, the only way one can be truly healed is to stop trying to heal oneself. It is only by surrender that one can be healed, and then one will be healed in exactly the order it needs to be done, without any effort on your part. If you can give up control of your healing, then it will happen in a nature way. The more you surrender, the more the personality will dissolve and the more free energy you will have that your innate healer can work with to do the work that needs to be done. The thing is, this is not something you have to think about, nor determine which thing you need to heal next. It's about trust, trusting that the innate part of yourself, this healer, can do it much better than you could ever concieve of.
And the beauty of this truth is that you can't figure out how to heal yourself - BECAUSE YOU ARE IT - you will never be able to do it no matter how hard you try to do it. This is something your mind can't unravel, because the mind itself cuases it.
In surrender there is much more power to heal oneself, then with any kind of technique or regime that one follows. Techniques, methods, alternative treatments, these are all like using a tiny speck of cloth to clean a whole skyscraper, whereas with surrender everything is possible. What's great about this, is that one can be totally healed without needing to know anything more about it. Everytime 'you' surrender you will heal, it's very simple.

Which disease. They have given names to certain micro organisms for which they have means to observe and experiment with, learning their needs for sustenance and thereby what deprivations would kill them. They have grown and watched them reproduce and injected them into animals to identify the symptoms of their attack on the animal from within. They have many complicated means for acquiring knowledge which were born out of struggle with historical superstitions and demonic beliefs. Do we care to go backward?
The mystifying superstitions and supernatural notions have blinded the human species to knowledge that would otherwise open to them according to their finite nature, but are instead unconscious of their personality formation and are divided against their self, a disease from which there is little chance of return.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
