I need some advice. I'm 23 yr old bloke. Basically to cut a long story short my sisters best friend has my number and we have been texting and she has asked me out on a date. After a few subtle questions to my sis I realise she doesn't know anything about it. Therefore I;m stuck... do i agree to go on the date and not tell me sis or do I ask my sis if its ok before I agree but she may well hit the roof and ditch her best mate. I like the girl but I respect my sister alot. what do i DO!!??!

If you are concerned, ask your sister. She may think it is awesome, or she maybe be upset, thinking that if you break up it will strain her friendship.

It sounds like you two our close. So talk to her. Only she can answer this question.

It's certainly not WRONG but you should keep in mind that female best friends tell each other everything. So that anything you say to your gf will end up being spoken to your sister, and vice versa. While this wouldn't bother me at all, some guys would have a problem with it.

P.S. And forget about the idea of keeping anything secret from either of them. It will ALL come out, probably within 24 hours.

i dont think it's wrong per say......i mean it's not really your fault that she's ur sister's best friend...and it's not as if you're interested in her JUST because she's your sister's friend....hmmm tricky situation....if u ask ur sis and she says no, then ur screwed...but if u dont ask ur sis until after...then u should be ok. if i were u i would probably ask her if it was ok before the date, because that way there wont be no deceiving lies or anything of that sort
g'luck

If I were interested, I would go on a date with her. I wouldn't ask my sister for permission. You are a man... you don't need to ask your mom or your sister for permission. If anything, let her know by telling her (not asking her). you are not disrespecting your sister by dating her friend. her best friend could be the girl of your dreams, after all.

Well I am in the same position just the opposite person and well my bff is fine with it... I would say ask her about it first but go out no matter what your sis says. My B/F and I are totally happy together and my bff is happy for us.

i do no longer think of it is incorrect yet i think of it would be strange. If my brother have been thus far one among my buddies i would not like it. yet, i think of you may talk on your pal approximately it in case you haven't any longer yet. in basic terms ask him what he would think of in case you dated is sister. it is well worth giving a attempt. all of us is distinctive so he's additionally effective with you dating her. i think once you're an incredible guy. however the question is... Does your persons sister involved in you like you're to her? good good fortune : )

Sure it's OK. Your sister might get a bit miffed about it though.

Usually, it's the friend who should ask/inform about dating a sibling.

you should talk to your sister about it and make it clear to your sister that if she doesn't want to to then you will respect her wishes. also go though your head and see how much you really like her and see if it's worth it. I would probably let my brother date one of my friends but it would make things kinda awkward so be sure.
