They are not going anywhere. There are still millions of them. You can rant about getting rid of them and wanting them all killed, but American business loves them and is still going to hire them. Certain cities are still going to protect them. Yes, there's all these little laws that are going up in small states and cities against them. But for the most part it's only hot air for the coming elections. But $$$ is what really matters not anyone's opinions.

Smartazz...I don't think any amnesty bill would have passed with or without your calls or letters.
The thing I'm saying is what difference does it make? They are still here. No one has left because of the defeat of an amenesty bill.

Yes, the government seems pretty content to do nothing for as long as possible to be sure we are all convinced that there is absolutely nothing that can be done about the situation other than to give them all a path to citizenship and continue to run across the border until another 20 million come and we go through it all over again.

Oklahoma is now refusing to allow non-English speaking students into the classrooms. By doing this it will save the state millions of dollars and encourage these people to learn English so they are forced to assimilate. Some have gone through 12 years of school in the U.S. and never learned to speak English. The states are left to deal with a problem that should be handled by the federal government.

The Anglo American kicked the British out of America, the French and when riled enough we will eventually kick you out to amigo. The problem is that our own government does not have the guts to boot you out assuming your are illegal of course. When it finally gets bad enough the American people will take action of their own. We defeated you at San Jacinto and Monteray. Unfortunately we America may be another Palestine or you may see a war like occurred in the Balkans but Americans will not lie down and let you destroy our country and you can bet on that. In the meantime kept cutting our grass and cleaning our homes I really like it.

I dont think we will get them all out but there are deportations going on. It has happened in my state three times recently. One was at the factory I work at. The temp service that provided workers was raided. 68 caught and deported. The jobs they were doing were filled without any loss of production. The temp agency was ticketed and fined. Also got a warning that if caught again they would lose their license to do business.
We will continue to talk against illegal immigration and let our politicians know if they dont act they will be voted out. It will change when enough people get together and stand up for what is right.

Catch 22: It costs the U.S. taxpayers many more $$$ to have illegal immigrants in this country than business saves. Expenses include

increased crime
$15,000 / child for education (almost all are in special or remedial education and get free breakfast & lunch)
increased DHS budget
loss of tax revenue (under the table pay)
loss of jobs for our citizen underclass
uninsured motorist payouts
donations to charities/non-profits to support these people
emergency room health care
food stamps, WIC, TANF, ADF
etc. etc.

The above are quantifiable costs. What cannot be estimated in terms of $$$ is the social cost due to deterioration of the fabric of our society.

.So $$$ apparently don't matter. What matters is who is saving the $$$. (Hint: The business of America is business.) Maybe if more U.S. citizens realized how much trespassers cost us, the more our opinions would matter.

Yes,My opinion matters and it will really matter when election day comes.
We are seeing changes although they might be small now the powers that be are beginning to wake up and realize most Americans are tired of flipping the bills for illegal immigrants. For those of you that don't mind paying for them why don't you take your tax return money and send it to Mexico or give it to one of the millions of illegals which have invaded our Country as for me I am tired of the Government doing it for me and I will not give up without a fight. I'm mad as h@ll and not gonna take it anymore

Explain then what happen to the dream act ? What happen to amnesty ? Where has all those marches and demands gotten them no where. LAUGHLIN - A suspect was arrested on Thursday afternoon for trafficking illegal immigrants after an officer spotted a suspicious vehicle parked along a dirt road with six Latino males inside.

An officer from the Laughlin Substation of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was driving by when he noticed the suspicious Honda Element parked near mile marker 2 on State Route 164.

He later saw a male and female in the desert pull their pants up and fix their clothing. After questioning, the officer found the male was allegedly trafficking illegal aliens and had reportedly attempted to sexually assault a 20-year-old Latina female.

The suspect, Rodolfo Juarez-Alvarez, was arrested for trafficking in persons for illegal purposes.

The officer had the male and female in custody when the six Latino males jumped out of the vehicle and escaped into the desert.

More than 20 backpacks and coats lay scattered on the ground about 50 to 70 feet behind the car. The department said the spot is “suspected to be a staging area for illegal activity.”The Latina female was transported to Las Vegas, where she told a domestic violence advocate she had been assaulted.http://www.mohavedailynews.com/articles/2007/11/18/news/local/local5.txt

This is a good question. However, a country who does not know anything about who is entering it is really inviting trouble.

Damn big business and the politicians looking for another voting bloc - we need to stay on this issue.

(This coming from a guy who truly believes in legal immigration.)

Many of us do more than complain. We contact our members of congress as evidenced by the defeat of three amnesty bills. There is now a bipartisan bill with over 100 members of congress pledging to vote yes. This bill is the strongest enforcement legislation in history. So when you say illegals aren't going any where you may want to rethink that statement...

You are right. As long as immigrants have more civil rights than plain old US citizens we can be assured that the supply is bounteous.Heck, think how the American Indians must feel about uncontrolled immigration already. My opinion means squat.
