I have an American bulldog, an African Boerboel, an Irish Wolfhound, and a pit bull. We live on a large farm in TX, so all of my dogs love going on adventures around the property. Then they all gather in the middle afternoon and vegetate in and around the house, usually for the rest of the day.
I have noticed for some time my boarboel and Irish wolfhound, are more independent and free spirited. My bully's on the other hand, have to have attention and lots of snuggles. They also watch everything I do from folding laundry, to washing dishes, making dinner and mucking the stalls.
My other dogs are sweethearts, but don't require as much attention. So, why do bully breeds look tough, but seem to want the most snuggles and attention??

I have an American Bull Dog, I have a Pitt Bull, and I have two Rottweilers. I had 3 one recently died of cancer. I've had more. Every one I've had were HUGE babies and very very lovable dogs. I don't at all believe its the breed but more so the "owners" themselves. (I have small dogs too).

My American Bull Dog is everyone who stops byes favorite. She has the most unusual silly personality and is a wonderful joy to be around. She often scares the beejeebee's out of people coming to the door until they meet her due to her size, but its only seconds before they are laughing and enjoying her silly personality and see she is absolutely no threat at all. The others are more mellow than she is. She is my one that startles people most. She just wants to see who came by.

My Pitt is the biggest baby of them all. Always laying her head on a lap just to be near. The Rotts are the best behaved. They really want to please you. My American bull dog sits on my couch like a person watching tv and even lays on the pillow and pulls the blanket up. She has taken my stuffed cows over as her babies and cleans them and protects them as her own offspring lol. They are all GOOD pets!!

i comprehend precisely what you recommend I even have constantly had GSD's JRT's and Lurchers turning out to be up, I now have a 10yo JRT whom i've got had because of the fact he replaced right into a puppy he's amazingly affectionate same because of the fact the others have been yet no the place close to as affectionate as my bully boy he's an entire sweetie and that i call him my cuddle puppy he completely makes my day while he snuggles as much as me on my mattress or on the settee. My bully lady is amazingly affectionate too yet nevertheless no the place as close to as my little cuddle puppy. Bless him! If i'm cooking or interpreting or staring at television he's the two snuggled as much as me, sat on my foot or laid on the floor with a paw or his tail touching me, he often shares my feet with my JRT they often pearch on a foot each and each while i'm washing up lol. He screams the domicile down if I also have a bath and that i close him out of the room he likes to play with the bathe and makes all styles of humorous noises. My puppy call for him is Mr Snickets or cuddle puppy (his call is Lemmy Dude!) i think of that is merely the way bully's are i've got met such countless and each and all of the vendors say an analogous element. i'm going to in no way have yet another breed of canines lower back there completely the main suitable!

Because bully breeds are the epitome of loyalty and love.

I've owned some rough looking APBTs who become such puppies as soon as someone starts paying attention to them. What a shame more people will never know the love of these great dogs.

My pit bull and my bull terrier are both such babies. They expect to be loved on by everyone who walks in our front door. They have such loyal personalities. I wish more people understand and loved the bullies. Mine are even good with cats. They will sit and groom each other all day.

My guess is that the bully breeds are trying to tell people in the only way that they know how, that they are not the evil, killer dogs that others say about them, they can't talk, but they know how to love.

don't you just love those "tough" looking faces. it melts my heart. those faces just make me want to kiss them and hug them! who cares why they are such sweet hearts, it just proves that they aren't bad dogs at all. neither are the other dogs, but still. can't judge a book by its cover. i think certain dogs are a little smarter than others and are more intuitive. they probably understand maybe that you like having them around and they are probably there to protect you if something goes wrong.

i honestly have no clue, but does your pitbull sit behind you while cooking? our male does and i fall over him everytime. he sneaks up behind me, so i never know he's there. ours also watch every move we make, it's too funny. as far as your question, i'd much rather have the snuggles and kisses. ours don't look tough, they just look like pitbulls. guess cuz they have not had their ears or tails cropped.

I never really thought of that .. i guess its the way they were raised and they just look tough so people think they wouldnt be so affectionate..

PEOPLE EXPECT THEM TO BE TOUGH, AND EXPECT THE LITTLE DOGS TO BE CUDDLY AND FRAGILE..... THEY DONT USUALLY GET THE CUTE TALK AND KISSES AND HUGS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOUGH LOOKING BREEDS. THEY NEED IT JUST AS MUCH AS FLUFFY DOES!!!
