Under God's personal supervision all of Job's children and their families and his servants and all his livestock were killed. Job lost everything he had, except his nagging wife! The Bible says that at the end God was so good to him that he made him twice as rich as he was before! Wasn't Job lucky?

Why are Christians so incensitive to such sadistically oriented stories in the Bible? They even blame the Devil for all of the God provoked evil that Job suffered! Isn't that disgusting?

Job 42:11 (KJV) Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over ALL THE EVIL that the LORD had brought upon him.

I sense that Christians refuse to believe that God provoked the whole incident in the story of Job! They still blame the devil! God wanted to give Job a hard time to see what happens and he used the devil to do the dirty work! Read the book with an open mind!

at the start enable me element accessible's a distinction with inflicting and letting some thing to take place. all of us would desire to bear in concepts too what got here approximately in the e book of interest have been devil says "epidermis in behalf of epidermis sure all that a guy has he will provide for his life.'' so that it is going to see the challenge that devil put in front of god. He replaced into saying any guy would try this, so ideal comprehend we are being examined by utilising devil, he will attempt to interrupt each physique individuals. that's in part why god has not stepped in yet, if he would have destroyed devil ideal then, it would have made god appear as if a woos, he didn't wish that.

God uses hard things to help us grow and learn. That is what he is in the business of doing.
How much would we learn or where would we be if everything were good all the time - after a while you see what God is doing, and has done, and you can even be thankful for where he has brought you through difficulties. And you learn to trust him - because when you are in his care, and love him, you have the assurance that all that he does is for the best, in his wisdom - because he is that close. He is not sitting back in his heavenly lounger watching everything unfold. He is involved in our lives. He is in the small things and the big things... how many times has he met us right where we are at or exactly what we need?

If you know what is the meaning what you were asking for I bet you will not going to ask this. Read 1 Corinthians 13 and the Bible it self will define the word love. The word lucky is not even in the Bible. Everything what is happening is according to the plan of God not yours or mine but God.
Jesus was teaching about troubles "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 13:30. Here we will have troubles or in the other translation said trials and tribulations. God sends some of these trials and tribulation for our discipline. James half brother of our Lord said "consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance." James 1:2-3. Remeber this Satan still under the authority of God Almighty. You've been reading the book of Job and God said to Satan "go ahead and touch my servant." We Christians believed that "All Scriptures are breathe of God..." 2 Timothy 3:16. If you are not believer you are not asking this kind of question. The family of Job they do not believe in God. Remember they are all partying and doing all that God's dislike. God spares Job life. I believed that if you are one of us, you need to study more of the Word and do not accuse anybody. You are not the judge but God is. Donot judge one another if you donot want to get judge.
May the blessing, love, joy, peace of our Lord Jesus Christ reign in your heart always....

Cause God thinks about the whole world not just one person.
If someone made the whole planet with all life would you trust he knows what he's doing. He created life so you can't compare a single thought to how God should have done things unless you truly do ask him and erase your pride.

God allows bad things to happen to good ppl because he needs to test their faith. It's easy to say that you believe in God when everything goes your way, and that's the point of the Job story. His faith was so strong that even when it seemed God was punishing him, he refused to curse God.

Your quote is a bit out of context. The story goes (and I'm paraphrasing, since it would take to long to pick out all the critical verses and type them up) that God had a counsel, and Satan showed up. God asked why he was there, and Satan outlined Job's prosperity and said that without he material goods and family, Job would "curse thee [God] to thy [his] face"(Job 1:11 KJV). God, knowing this to be false, said that Satan could take all Job's livestock and kill his sons (which Satan did). Job mourned his loss, but remained faithful. Satan then appealed to God, saying that Job would curse God if afflicted physically. God gave Satan leave to afflict Job in any manner as long as Job survived. Still Job persevered in his faith.

At this point, everyone else thinks that Job is being cursed by God, but Job insists otherwise. Then comes your verse, 42:11. His brethren, sisters, and acquaintances all tried to comfort him concerning what they thought God had done to him, but had in fact been done by Satan.

Bad things happen to all people. Good things happen to all people. That's just life. It's silly to think that god would play favorites if he is who they say he is.
