We live in Quebec, Canada. My friend has this idea that she is definetly going to Harvard, we go to a public school, she is middle class, lives in an old fixer-up house. She Does NOT participate in any extra curricular activities, shes not even on the debate team. Her average is around 91%, she took the SAT practise exam and thought it was "alright" as in not that easy, her views of the world are unrealistic, as well as not up to date with current events, her personality sucks and to finish off she went to the metropolitan museum of art and her response to the abstract art was "oooo its like colors". Now just so I am not crazy does she have any shot in heck at making it into Harvard? LOL

also in Quebec we dont even have grade 12... we only go up to grade 11

Well, it sounds like you are in high school. So she might be a candidate for Harvard College, but not Harvard Law School. Harvard Law School only accepts people who have completed college or are seniors in college when they apply.

If your point is that you have to be an excellent student to get into Harvard, then I would agree. Also, you need to be involved in activities and interests.

But I wouldn't worry so much about your friend. What are your plans?
