My car was recently broken into and they robbed me blind. Stole everything I had in my car. They probably got away with about 800.00 worth.

I am thankful they didnt take the entire car.

I am scared though b.c I am a tiny girl. What if someone tries to rob me when I am in the car?

What can I keep in my car to protect myself? I have heard that a ball bat is illegal. I plan on getting pepper spray. What about knives?

I feel like I need protection now. I live in an upscale neighborhood however, it is on the border or a crime ridden downtown so we get a lot of trash wandering thru.

I am so scared.

You would need to check with the laws in your state. An a weapon someone can take away from you is not safe. Maybe you should see if it is legal in your state for you to carry a key chain size can of pepper spray

Definitely go with pepper-spray. I keep one on the visor in my truck, it works good against potential car jackers, and one on my keychain. I also carry a bat but only becuase I have a softball and mitt with it so if there is any question why I have a bat it's because "I play softball" get it? but the best thing is usally to give over what any one wants from you nothing is worth your life..except your kids of course... so you always need a weapon for backup

are you old enough to carry a pistol?

if so apply for your concealed carry permit.

just be sure if the day ever comes when you may have to use it not to think twice because if your gonna pull it out then you have to use it there's no putting it back because an attacker will try to take it from you considering you are a female.

If your not old enough to carry a pistol on your person, try a Police Edition Tazer they are very powerful and the wires can travel 15 feet. (civilian versoion, police can shoot 20 ft)

Pepper spray or mace is the best bet. A knife can be too easily used against you and a baseball bat wont help you while your in the car. No room to swing.

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html

You could always move to a better community. However based on what you have stated I would have to recommend a stun gun or pepper spray. Bear mace is also very effective against human animals. Try bear mace if you can get it. I think Cabelas has it.

Carry mace, do not resort to carrying a weapon. It will most likely land you in prison for many years if used. Also, carry a cell phone on you, and a whistle on your key chain.

Depends what state you're in. Remember that anything in the car can be taken away and used against you, as well.
