You can carry a sword oin your car and not be arrested. It all depends on your siatuation. If your being stopped for a possible crime committed like a store robbery at gun point and you match the discription and have a long knife in your vehicle you can be charged with that as well.

I don't believe it is a felony but it is against the law to have a concealed blade of more the 4 inches in most states. However if it is displayed it is not illegal. You can walk around with a sword attached to your hip but not a bowie knife strapped and concealed on your leg.

I've heard of people getting pulled over with small amounts of drugs in their car. They think, ok no biggie, it's just minor offense, but then the cops find a knife in their car and now they are looking at 15 years behind bars.
In reality this kind of law depends on the state you live in. I know where I live if you get pulled over within 1000ft of a school and have any drugs in your car you're looking at at least 5 years in prison, and having any kind of weapon also drasticaly increases the time you'll end up serving.

YES IT IS TRUE. A KNIFE UNDER MANY STATES DEFINITIONS IS A WEAPON AND IF IN YOUR CAR UNDER A SEAT CAN BE CONSIDER NOT IN PLAIN VIEW SIGHT AND THUS A CONCEALED WEAPON.
I THINK MOST STATES HAVE A BLADE MINUS THE HANDLE OF 5" OR LARGER?

In my state its only if you walk around with one in your pocket in public, i dont think they can do anything about it in your car were i am as its not in public and people are legally allowed to carry firearms in cars if licensed so i dont think you have to worry, but make sure you check your state laws first.

Depends on local laws. Size of the blade and other things come into play as well.

Maybe if you're on probation. In some places you can't carry a fixed blade knife.
