Well it sure as hell wouldn't be religion anymore. Absurdity is what gives religion it's power to control. If it was logical, it would be boring and people wouldn't be interested.

Perhaps but it is not and it would lose its meaning if it was.
religion as an aspect of theology/philosophy is a in a different realm than empirical science.
And without it we would lose a critical part of us that makes us human.
