If you were in a very unusual situation....

where you could only save the life of your pet or a stranger
in the case of a life threatening emergency (maybe a fire or something)

Which would it be? Your pet or a stranger? (a human that is)

I hope that I would save the human. Honestly though, I think I would be very moved to save my babies. I love them.
This is a very interesting question.

I cant believe so many people would chose their pets over fellow humans. Yes we get attached to our animals but, a human being is a human being. You usually go through numbers of pets in your lifetime. The stranger could be somebody father, or mother, or child. Of course you would try to save both but if there was no way the human is defiantly more important.

What I'm wondering is why a stranger would be in my house considering I keep my pets at home. Anyway...... I don't worry about my dogs as much as my cats. My dogs would be on my heels anyway and all I would have too say is OUT. So really I would be rescuing my cats and there is NO WAY I would leave them behind. Sorry stranger..... if your in my house, your breaking in anyway.

Really a confusing question, I love my Honey more than any thing in the world. But also I love all the single life in the universe. If a situation arrived … then may be I try to save my Honey, because she only have one relative in the world, I think it is me. So in my concern I am her father, mother, or all. Why I losses her? I also try to save the stranger- I become ready to die for the stranger, but I first save my Honey.

This a tough question and I hope I will never have face this kind of situation. I would try my best to save both but if it wasn't possible I would have to save the stranger first. I love my dog very very much but It would weigh extremely heavy on my concience knowing that I had it in my power to save a human life and that person ended up dying because I chose to save my dog instead. Animal life is very precious but I think a human life is even moreso.

I would hope and pray that I am never in this position. But I love my 2 dogs with all my heart. They would definitely have to come first. I would do everything in my power to save both my dogs and the stranger, but I would not sacrifice the lives of my children(dogs are my kids) for someone that could care less about me. My dogs have saved my life, and they did so without hesitation, they deserve no less from me.

WOW! People seem to really hate people! I would love to say the person but I'm an overachiever & would probably kill myself trying to save everyone because I wouldn't give up. The unconditional Love of pets seems to be winning big time!!! The meek shall inherit the Earth?

wow, people are sad. a stranger. can you imagine if YOU were the stranger and somebody left you to die so they can get their golden retriever? come on. i mean i love my dog to death, but can you honestly just imagine what it is like for the other person? and how much more they have to live for? but your pet just sleeps and eats? people just assume the stranger is a bad person to take the easy way out and say that they wouldn't save them and forget about the remorse.

truthfully my canine. No way could i opt for the existence of a stranger over my canine. i don't view human existence as innately efficient, it merely has regardless of fee we practice to it. people die well-known and my existence isn't affected, notwithstanding, if my canine died i could be a great deal affective. might desire to be harsh yet i don't care.
