You're in luck! Most if not all camcorders today come standard with a digital camera as well. There are 2 storage devices - Tape/DVD/Hard Drive for the camcorder and flash memory (SD usually) to store the pictures just like a digital camera.

Most are. However the stills usually suck compared to a digital camera.
