was wondering if anyone out there has experienced being a 21 year old girl with an absentee father. what affects can all this have on the girl???????? she is a beautifull girl but constantly wants everyone to tell her so--------loves men to flirt with her. is this low self esteem?

It's that she has a low self esteem she just needs to hear it all the time to make her feel better. But the absentte of a Dad for a 21 year old has little affect but it might effect her when she gets married and wants him to walk her down the ailse and he's not available. Bt she needs to chat with someone tell her to IM me anytime

It is not necessarily low self esteem but some of the sites for low self esteem my help her - I will give you one. It is more a fear of not being loved because her father was not there for her but it can lead to looking in all the wrong places for love and a lot of hurt in the long run. she needs counseling perhaps to see that her father was absent because of her mother or because he was a jerk and it has nothing to do with her.

No it is not low self esteem but it is because there was no father to show her how to be loved by a man that is suppose to love her unconditionally, so therefore she is trying to get it where ever she can. She nneds to talk to someone seriously.
