It's okay to put a coat on a dog
But make sure that you get the right size so that it fits her perfectly
If she shows any sign of getting hot or being uncomfortable by all means take it off and when she starts shivering again put it back on
I wouldnt use a coat
I would use a dog sweater
That way it would feel mor enatural, like another layer of fur, and it wouldnt bother her so much

No it is not weird to get a coat for your little dog while in the winter. My chihuahua weighs 4 lbs and i have a coat and shoes for her when it rains and just in the winter the dog can get cold so that is a good idea. Just make sure that the coat is not any longer on the bottom than him/her "area"!!

My guy is amazingly tender to the chilly and he spends alot of time outdoors, he will be sitting there and that i watched his ears quiver. when I picked up a Ruffwear Cloud Chaser Jacket and an over coat he turned right into a unique dogs, tail wagging and absolutely pulling me out the door and down the line. i imagine to have a dogs out interior the freezing chilly and not using a coat is extra inhumane than making them look a touch humorous... Ruffwear has a good line of jackets that are meant for the actual outdoors wind, rain, snow and ice. they are expensive yet i have had my some ruffwear equipment happening 3 years now.

No there is nothing wrong to get her a little coat. shame she will be so happy and nice and warm. I just do not like the way Paris hilton dress her dogs, boots, tutus and tiaras. i think it is degrading. But a nice warm little coat in the middle of winter can just do your dog good.

No. My papillon gets really cold if it's 50 degrees or colder so he has to wear a coat. Just make sure it's not in the way of her pee if you use it when you take her out to go to the bathroom.

If your dog is cold, then a coat (the right size) is fine. And in fact it's a good idea for small dogs with thin coats.

No, they get cold too. Not as soon as we do but there are times when they need coats. Plus they are super cute!
