Marine bootcamp is a mental game as much as a pshyical game.

Just focus and do what you are told. Don't question it. Just do it.
Keep a low profile you are learning to be part of team not to prove yourself as a Marine.

My only suggestion would be if faith into big time because faith is all you will be left with in the end.

They will tear you down than than they will build you up as Marine.

as a marine, i can tell you ya running is gonna help, being physically fit will help you. but in boot camp you dont pt as much as these nasty civillians who dont know what the hell they r talking about say u will. you will pt, but its mostly mental. and the retired air force guy doesnt know what hes talking about. the pft is 3 miles in under 28 mins, 100 crunches, and at least 3 pull-ups. if you cant do that by the end of boot camp not only are u a weak turd, but u will be recycled to another company until you can do the minimum. dont eat a lot of **** like they are telling you. ya the food isnt great but they feed you 3 times a day. if you have a girlfriend, get rid of her. you dont need the extra stress of worrying about her, shes probably gonna cheat on you. most do. remember the marine corps is not boot camp for 4 years...unless u get into landing support company...then it is. have fun with it and make urself a better person.

Get a copy of the PT manual from the Marine Corps and follow it to a T. If not just start walking and running you will need to run at least 2 miles to pass the PT and under 12 minutes prob. You will have to do 100 push ups , sit ups, under a specified time. Stop drinking soda of any kind drink water. Go see your Dr to make sure you are doing all of this right and not placing you body under any kind of medical stress that will harm your chances.

It does not matter what you do now because your doing everything wrong..They will teach you by the numbers, so just stay in general shape and dont be a pig and enjoy your time..Semper Fi

Your answers make me laff. But my neice did many many sit ups and push ups before leaving and won awards for most physically fit. Add a multi-vitamin to your diet.

run 5 miles a day and eat whatever your body wants as long as you keep up the running.

boot camp requires stamina which the running will help you acquire. don't worry about the food angle -- your body knows and will let you know.

try to have as much sex as possible....you're defintely gonna need it.....as you will not be able to have sex for a long time while in the military.

as for eating....go eat your favorite foods and enjoy....you're defintely going to miss the good food.
