I have just been on and can't believe the response from English people to the Scotland result.I and many others hope the England team do well in Europe and always support Wales & N.Ireland too.I can only assume these are not football fans,I was at Hampden last night and although Scotland are playing better these days we were beaten fair and square(even although the ref was blind)So come on you racists give it a rest!!

The thing is the people you see on here are not even regulars on the English football section, they come on here and spew there bile there hatred(and not just towards the Scots, It's the Paki's, the Pole's, The Americans) they are hated by almost every country, there racist comments, they are the bitter ones , there is a difference between banter and hatred, i put it down to jealously , we are a proud nation we support our team though thick and thin, we party when we lose, and they cannot stand that so they have to lower themselves to there bitter comments, just laugh at them, because at the end of the day us Scots always get the last laugh.

Because they feel inferior. We all know that England, as a national side, are just crap. They haven't won anything in over 40 years and the only thing they won is the phoney 66 world cup (which they bought). When you compare that to world class national sides all around the world like Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany or France, you can clearly see that England are rubbish and they just can't stand it because they invented football.
It's like a person who has been a millionaire and has lost all its money, he can't stand to see people getting rich. That feeling of impotence that the english fans feel is what drives them to violence and racial abuse towards anybody else. England has been a decadent country for over 100 years and they have turned to beer as a painkiller to deal with that feeling of self-disgust. Their racism is just an expression of their insecurity and lack of self-belief.

I am English but live in Scotland, I am not like the people you speak about but have suffered my own fair share of racism for being English by the Scots, but I'm a bigger person than that and I don't let it bother me.

a racist person is not a football fan,there is no room for racism in football..
if people are racists then they should consider joining BNP,or KKK or some other fascist group.
and leave our beautiful game alone,for genuine people who follow it with a passion,and dont need to cheapen themself with racist,other derogatory remarks..
i think Scotland can take credit,they have come along way since Berti Vogts,the future looks bright for them,with talent coming through..
they have 2010 qualifiers to look forward too..

I was upset that Scotland lost, in the last minute as well. But i bet there are more Scots hating the English than the other way round, sorry but i`m sure i`m right on that.
