What beer company SPONSORED car did you see doing that?
I always see them doing that after a NASCAR BUSCH SERIES race.
As far as drinking and driving...No..it does not promote drinking and driving. They do not continue driving after the race is over, and most of the drivers go to their motorhomes after the race is over anyway.

I think a race car driver could tell his Mom on Mother's Day "I Love You, Mom!", and some would say that's evidence of an Oedipus Complex.
Product placement happens in everything.
I think it shows that you can transport your adult beverage from the store to your house without consuming it, and then drink it in the safety of your home, thereby demonstrating the utilitarian uses of the automobile.
Now, if after the race, he tossed out a bunch of empty beer cans from inside the car, fell out of the car, slurred his victory speech, and pinched the girl's butt in victory lane, perhaps that would be an endorsement for drinking and driving!

They are just promoting their sponsors. The sponsors have to fork out plenty of $$$$$$$$ so, this is part of the advertising. It is no difference than a beer commercial.
I don't feel it in anyway promotes drinking and driving.

It's a sponsorship thing, but usually the company who sponsors victory lane has their product on top of the car. Sport drinks are big on sponsorship.
To answer your question, no it doesn't promote drinking and driving. That needs no promotion.

The powerade sponsored cars get giant Powerades on their cars when they win, does that promote boosting electrolyte levels and driving??
No one sees a race car win a race and thinks "HEY!!! let's go drink beer and drive!!"
