My youngest recently had chicken pox despite the vaccination, my older daughter had chicken pox and measles despite the vaccine. What have been your experiences?

Youngest of four children, I was never vaccinated, they were vaccinated, they got chicken pox, measles, I never got a thing, although I was sent to a Mumps Party, nothing. It does not work that way, the idea is, vaccination mean if you do contract THE infection it will not be as bad as it would be without the vaccination. However now 49 I have Autoimmunity and while I would really like to see a Pyramid in Egypt, because I have never been vaccinated I cannot as such travel, risk to my health.

Being vaccinated does not necessarily mean you won't get the virus. You may contract it but it would be not as severe and the time you have is shortened.
