I have red/green colorblindness and can't go to airborne school. Can I go to ranger school and get the tab and then go back to my old unit?

Yes, you can go to Ranger school without being Airborne qualified. During the Airborne ops portion of the course you will be bussed in to the drop zone. It is not a very pleasant way to go through the course, because all of the "legs" are ridiculed and usually given extra strenous activities to accomplish to make up fro not jumping in. But you can still get your tab.

I doubt it. I think you can go to Ranger school first, with a follow-on to Airborne school, but the term Airborne Ranger isn't a clever name.
