ok so my niece is nine years old my mom *her grandmother and i decided that we want to get a computer game for her she is nine years old. she can read and type some words and she loves being on the computer (we always watch what she does and dont let her talk to anyone other than family we know on the computer) but shes nine and we want some good ideas on a computer game we can get her that she can play when she comes over please help.

my 8-year-old absolutely loves Zoo Tycoon. She also likes Zoombinis (logic games), I-spy computer games, and Learn to Play Chess with Fritz and Chester (there's a sequel for that one, too). She also will play for hours with the paint program that comes with windows. Online, she likes LineRider (http://www.official-linerider.com/play-line-rider-online). We also downloaded a very cool times tables game called TimezAttack (if you do a web search you'll find it ... even though it's a math game it plays like a first-person adventure. there's a free download and a cooler one you can pay for).

My son is seven and a couple of his favorite computer games are Wheel of Fortune and Scrabble... they've helped with both his reading and spelling. Another favorite in our house with both our 7 and 11 year olds are the Tycoon games.... Roller Coaster Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon... etc.
