separated the reconstruction of Iraq from the war in Iraq? Specifically, how it would be possible for the U.S. to move towards a peace keeping role (in the areas that are showing progress) and begin reconstruction efforts? Thanks.

Actually, I think Richardson said the opposite in the last debate. he said he would bring all the contractors home and make them leave Iraq.

Since you appear not to have been paying attention. We started reconstruction efforts in May 2003.

In 70% of Iraqs provences the security role is being handled by Iraqi polidce and the Iraqi army.

In the rest of the Iraqi provences the primary security role falls to Iraqi police and army with the US military serving as backup and conducting operations in the 'high threat' areas.

This is a problem that no one has addressed. I feel sorry for those Iraqi's that are in dire straits becuz we ruined their living ability.
