Quinceanera dresses! Most of the quinceanera dresses look exactly like wedding dresses. Some are white but lavender and pink are the next popular colors. Do a search under that and I"m sure many will come up. Another option would be to go to a bridal store in a hispanic area and they might have them in the window display.

Tell her to try moncheribridals.com. Go into the site and find Special Occasion Dresses by Montage Then click on #19543 there is your lavender wedding dress. Marrying for the second time, she shouldn't go for a big poofy flouncy wedding gown..something simple with a little lace. In that same site, look for Rina de Montella Formal dresses and Mother of the Bride dresses also try Mother of the Bride dresses by Moncheri.com (Montage collection) some lavender dresses there.

Get creative! Check out brides maid dresses or even high end evening wear. I know Vera Wang makes dresses in lilac that would be lovely wedding dresses. Depending on the fabric and style you may even be able to get the dress dyed (ala brides maid shoes!) but get a professional to do it!

Bridesmaid dresses are thankfully looking less and less like, well... bridesmaid dresses. And they usually come in a wealth of different colors. Vera Wang has a really beautiful line of bridesmaid dresses, all different lengths and colors. Another option is to just go to the formal section of a department store and see what they have. There's no reason why your sis-in-law has to go to a bridal boutique or superstore to find "The Dress."

With more and more people getting married more than once a lot of bridal stores either have dresses in other colours or can make a dress you like in a colour of your choice.

Ask at your local boutique and if they don't do it themselves they will know someone who will

If she knows someone who sews you can buy a wedding dress pattern at Jo Ann's fabrics, and use lavender/lilac as the color.

Two things:
1 - Look into Quincenera gowns. Many are similarly styled to wedding gowns but in color, or are white with beautifully colored accents.
Here is a site:
http://www.bargainweddinggowns.com/quinceanera.html
2 - Look into bridesmaids dresses.
