i've got a cheap dvd player and i want to make it region free so that i can view region 1 dvds.

i've been told that there is a disc that enables the playstaton 2 to become region free. does anybody know if this will work on a normal dvd player.

does anybody know of a place of in london that i can take my dvd player to that can modify it so that it is multi region?

if not, does anybody know of any electrical outlets in london that sell multi region dvd ?players

Most decent DVD players (Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, etc.) sold these days are multi-region straight from the box. If you buy a Region 2 DVD player, you are very unlucky.

However, cheap DVD players such as yours, are usually 'region locked' and cannot be made region free by ANY method. This is one of many reasons why they are cheap.

Always remember, "Buy cheap, buy twice".
