I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Two suggestions: 1) Look for a support group for parents who have lost children. I know there are groups of such parents who get together to support each other. Others who have had the same kind of experience will know how you feel and may be able to offer comfort, support and encouragement. The hospital where your daughter was should have some kind of social services department that may have information. If not, you might try some internet searches on bereavement groups. 2) It may seem like it makes no sense, but you might find some relief in volunteering your time for others who are suffering - in a hospice, for example, at a camp for kids who are dealing with cancer. Wherever you live, there will most likely be a need for caring volunteers. This may sound like an impossible idea for you right now, in the depths of your sorrow, but your experience, as painful as it was and still is, could be exactly what another parent needs to hear about. Helping others may be your path to helping and healing yourself. You can turn your pain and sorrow into a beneficial, living memorial to your daughter by sharing your story.

Plain and simply God didn't kill them, but most people like to use Him as a scapegoat rather then looking at the other elements in life, ie, air pollution, smoking, getting second hand smoke, house hold products (cleaners that have toxins), eating food that is processed, tanning etc...there are so many variables that can cause cancer, and a lot of people aren't educated on the matter or have the "It won't happen to me" attitude and thus they may develop cancer. And some it is genetic. But we cannot blame God for our genetic either.
It seems that we all want God to leave, we tell Him that we don't believe in Him, we make fun of Him, and then when something bad happens, we blame him. No, I think God just listened and left to those who keep asking. I know I wouldn't pound on someone's door for 30 + years.

Good question. I have asked the same thing for years. Ever since a friend of mine died from the Tylenol poisonings in the early 80's. The day we buiried her, it became cystal clear to me as I looked at her 4 children, one was a WEEK old, that there is no God or if, by chance I am wrong, he is a sadistic bastard who I would never spend another minute believing in.
As usual, I see the excuses the Believers give when asked this question. Just look at the answers here, the believers don't even agree with each other. They speak in circles. God creates miracles, God does not create miracles. God is not responsible for mankind's actions, yet he created man and everything in this world. So why did he create cancer? He didn't, say the believers. Well then who the hell did? and more importantly WHY???????
I am going to post my own question in order to address their answers and give them a chance for rebuttal.

Does god like to torture them?
It would seem as though if there actually were a god, that torture would be the forefront conclusion.
I watched my soulmate go with cancer that started in her ovaries and spread to her liver. It wasn't pretty, but she didn't take no life saving measures when an infection set in, she didn't want dialysis for the infection that shut down her kidneys, she only wanted morphine, and being in hospice that's what she got, and she got a lot of it.
I don't know who was tortured more, her or me watching her die.

Actually Jesus in His ministry (who christians believe was God incarnated in human form) healed essentially everyone who came to Him seeking healing - whole crowds were healed at times. Acts 10:38 paraphrase: Jesus went round healing all who were sick (oppressed by the devil, in effect) because God was with Him.
However, although the Church (all genuine christians) is now, so to speak, Christ's body on earth, there has to be faith to get the healing ministry that God wants (that Jesus wanted us to do it can be seen from John 14:12).
To get faith for difficult things is by no means easy. One has to read the Word, and do things like praying in tongues and fasting, so that one can overcome one's natural unbelieving self-reliant nature, called 'the flesh' in Paul's epistles and John's gospel.
NB Because of the widespread failure of most christians to get their faith up and running in this area, many denominations and teachers have taught erroneously that (1) illness might be teaching people something (2) healing has passed away. These easy views seem to contradict the gospel and epistles - eg Galatians 3:3 says the Spirit performs miracles in the Galatian chruich regularly.

God does not kill. For instance if a baby is born and it would be better for it to go into heaven while its still little instead of growing up and turning away from God. Or what if they did grow and something even worse was waiting for them.

Why does God kill...? Did you see God kill? How can you say that?
Why many people blame God for the bad things that happen?
God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. (Job 34:10-12) Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.
How can we be sure that God hates to see suffering? Here is further proof. The Bible teaches that man was made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26) We thus have good qualities because God has good qualities. For example, does it bother you to see innocent people suffer? If you care about such injustices, be assured that God feels even more strongly about them.
Why does God allow children to be born with serious physical and mental defects?
God does not cause such defects. He created the first human pair perfect, with the ability to bring forth perfect children in their own likeness.—Gen. 1:27, 28.
We have inherited sin from Adam. That inheritance carries with it the potential for physical and mental defects. (Rom. 5:12) This inheritance of sin is with us from the time of conception in the womb. It is for that reason that King David wrote: “In sin my mother conceived me.” (Ps. 51:5) If Adam had not sinned, there would be only desirable traits to transmit. (John 9:1, 2)
Parents can harm their unborn offspring—for example, by drug abuse or by smoking during pregnancy. Of course, it is not true that in every case the mother or the father is responsible for birth defects or poor health of their child.

God says...for my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are my ways your ways...He knows why. We will never be satisfied by whatever answer we recieve to all our questions concerning what God allows. Our job here on earth is to find Truth and accept Him into our lives. When you meet God, His glory will be sufficient to satify all your questions.

God dose not do it; we do it our selves.
Like God made a cure for cancer that use to be common to all of us. But drug companies wanted to make more money treating people for long times for Cancer. So they do all they can to make life easier to get Cancer. And modern doctors certainly are not taught how a cure was found over 60 years ago, that was a 100% cure and only took a week ore two. The drug companies stocks would drop at least 95%.
Jesus said for us to chose God or money. And to many want the money.
If we were all still useing horses, would there be car accedents? Or at least were far more serios and were willing to drive slower to decrease the risks? If someone is shot; God did not do it, the one with the gun (following the devil) did.

Thank You ahead of time for Your Thumbs Down! You blame God for the things that people have chosen to do by following False teachings and Doctrine. Yes tragedies do happen because of Sin that did come into the World via Satan and his rebellion against God in Isaiah 14:12. It is by Faith that Christians walk Hebrews 11 and Romans 13 and 1st Corinthians 2:9 Death and Suffering have No Clout 1st Thessalonians 4:19
The Devil uses it against Christians. It is called Transference in psychology and taking their hostilities out on the victims and blame them for what they have in fact done wrong themselves. The Reasoning? God is all powerful, He could have stopped it. Isn't that kind of demented and convoluted?
