Little Johnny's mom thought of what was perhaps the scariest costume ever thought up. Johnny wore the costume and every time he said trick or treat, the person opening the door would faint or cry out and slam the door shut, but they would only do this if they were an adult. The kids didnt know what it meant so they took it as a lame costume and gave the kid his candy.
What was Johnny for Halloween?

Ya, it is the King's New Clothes. Johnny wore nothing. That was the simple truth. A cunning weaver gave a King a match box, which he said, contained a marvellously woven the best dress in the world which can be seen only by those who never sinned. In fact, it was an empty match box. The king could not see, but being averse to confess that he could not see, he rewarded the person who presented it and wore the dress and went on a chariot in a procession. All people, being afraid of telling the truth, kept quiet, but a small child asked his father as to why the king was roaming about naked. That was a lesson in our 8th standard 4 decades ago, in India.
