No, I'm very pleased to see them, these days if you are polite and say "good morning", or what ever the time of day it is, to them they will generally respond. Its more likely to happen outside the major cities where they have to be on their guard all the time. I live in hope that if there are any guilty people around that they will catch them.
The Courts are a different matter, any excuse presented to them is an excuse to let the culprits off with just a slapped wrist.

Not guilty, but paranoid. Like if I breathe too deep I might get taken away in cuffs. Even though I'm not speeding I take it waaaaaaaaay down if a cop is behind me. I like to watch him get all aggrivated in my rear mirror because I'm going so slow and keeping him from getting to the donut shop. LOL!

Yes, my mother instilled in me a strong sense of guilt and sense of authority so, even though I'm the most law-abiding person I know, I feel incredibly strange whenever I go past the police - I must look really suspicious!!!

I feel like maybe they are watching me. One time I was riding my mountain bike and I saw a cop going into a restaurant. I just glanced at him and he gave me a look to kill. So yes, I feel like I have done something wrong when I pass a cop in the street.

Not guilty but apprehensive. Some of them look for reasons to "get into your business".Look for excuses to stop and search.Fishing for lawbreakers it's a little upsetting. Many departments have at least one person on it that has no business being there. All the other police know it,but do nothing. You never know when you'll have one of them"getting into your business".

That happens a lot (Esp when driving and a Police car is behind you!)
I've got a lot of pals who have joined the Police and it's a total pain for them as it can make the innocent look iffy which uses up a lot of time as they have to make sure..

Not really, but when driving I sometimes find my self hoping I haven't done anything or that everything is working right on the car (like the lights).

No, i feel pleased that they are there to scare any potential trouble makers away & make them think twice.
Though if they are sat in a police car at the side of the road, i get nervouse & check my speed. ;-o
