Do you really think looks don't matter?

Of course they do... you NEED to be attracted to your partner.. otherwise you could fall in love with someone of the same sex if they had a nice personality, I'm sick of people not admitting this, I am honest, looks don't "take you so far"... they are always needed... if your partner had a face you couldn't help vomiting at, or you weren't attracted physically than you wouldn't want to have sex...physical attraction. Do you really think it's possible to have sex without a physical attraction... "Its all about personality when making love"...in that case you could probably have sex with another man/woman if they had a nice personality... Personality and looks are both essential... they don't have to be extremely good looking, but there must be an attraction, it's not shallow, it's just not being stuck

i totally agree with you, i know i wouldn't date someone whom i didn't find attractive that's for sure. can you imagine what the sex would be like if you weren't attracted to your partner?!? i hate when people say looks don't matter because it absolutely does. anyways you are totally right and i agree 100%.

Looks are important, but they're not nearly as important as we make them out to be. Think about it: No matter what you look like right this minute, you had absolutely NOTHING to do with it (other than whatever you've done to maintain it). It's a credit to your genes and luck of the draw...but it in no way speaks to you as a person. Yes, I too can get hot and bothered by an exterior shell, but I also like to know who's inside of that pretty package. Sometimes it's not who you think is in there. I've known some really trifling women to have some very nice shells. And I hope to never see them again in life. Manbeast....that was priceless! Nice going, Sam

Looks realy dont matter i was attracted to my wife by her brains and heart.LOOKS FADE OVER TIME DOES THAT MEAN WHEN UR SPOUSE IS OLD AND SAGGIN THAT U WONT LOVE HER ANYMORE?LOOKS FADE THE HEART NEVER DOES.i am 32 and been down the looks road i found that some are beautiful outside but really ugly inside and vice versa.My wifes inner beauty always shows to her outside.She doesnt have to look like a glam queen.i mean she hangs out in pjs and a tshirt and she beautiful becasue her heart is and so is her mind.I am attracted to her for that reason.not because of the way she looks as i stated"LOOKS FADE THE HEART NEVER DOES"

I think they matter to a certain degree and then the person's personality takes them to the next level. You could be looking at the hottest man/woman ever and after they start talking they turn out to be a moron and you're not so interested anymore.

Thats true. I don't mind if she's average looking, but if she looked like a man beast I wouldn't go near her.

I could argue something though.

Example, if she was beautiful and we were together then god forbid something happened to her like she burnt her face or something, I'd never leave her because I'd still love her no matter what.

But for initial attraction, she needs to look decent :)

Everyone looks different (excpt for twins ofc) and yes looks do matter but someone u think is ugly could be cute to someone elce so yes they do count.
