I am in no way a pro whisky taster, up till now its just been JD but its getting boring. I would prefer a sweet whiskey which would go down well with ice.

Clynelish 14YO 46% This is a peaty whiskey with a honey finish. Should be around £30 to £35 per bottle.

Aberlour A'bunadh Batch 20 60.5% A sweet, honey finish from this sherry finish single cask whisky. Should be around £35 to £40

Old Pulteney First Fill Sherry Butt 1990 59% The sweetness of the sherry cask makes this a mellow whisky. This is at the top end of your price range and you may have to pay up to £55.

Please, don't put ice in your whiskey! This will only destroy the flavour. The only thing you should add is water to taste. The Clynelish should only need a small amount of water, if any.

Bourbon is whiskey (Irish/American spelling with an "e") from Bourbon County, Kentucky.

Enjoy your whisky :-)

A couple of nice sherried whiskies are Aberlour 16yo and Mortlach 16yo Flora & Fauna. The Glen Elgin 12yo and Longmorn 15yo are good Speysider's too and all are under £35

Edit:
Jack Daniels is not a bourbon.
Bourbon is an American form of whiskey named for Bourbon County, Kentucky. By United States law, it consists of at least 51% corn — typically about 70% — with the remainder being wheat and/or rye, and malted barley. It is distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof, and aged in new charred oak barrels for at least two years.

If your wanting a good American bourbon I suggest either the Elijah Craig 12 year old or W.I. Weller 12yo. Both of these sell for around £20 a bottle in the UK.

(Since your using the "£" monitary sign I figure your from the UK)

Well here's some I like...

Jack Daniels Single Barrel
Laphroaig
The Balvenie
Johnnie Walker Swing
Poit Dhubh

Although when you say "Sweet" whisky, you would probably be better off with maybe a bourbon...

Jim Beam
Wild turkey
Maker’s Mark
Woodford Reserve
Elijah Craig

If you want a sweet whisky, Glenmorangie is probably the best choice. A bit mainstream but an excellent malt. Highland Park is a good one as well.

My favourites are Dallas Dhu and Cardhu malts. Hard to get hold of a bottle of these but worth the effort.

My three favourite whiskies are Glenmorangie which is very light, a classic speyside malt. Black Bottle which is a blend of Islay malts. It's bit heavier with a little taste of seaweed and peat. If I'm only allowed 3 I'd go for Highland Park for my other one. I wouldn't put ice in any of them though, maybe a wee dash of water in the Black Bottle but that's all.

Sounds like good scotch would be a waste for you. The ice thing is a give away. Great more Oban for me.

Bourbon, however is what you want. Makers Mark is sweet, Woodford reserve is a little sweet and Oh so good. Rebel Yell is cheap very sweet and would go nice on ice.
