Ok, so Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and my two dogs have slightly sensitive stomachs. I was wondering if I could prepare them a special meal as well for this day of "feasting." Any recipes?

They normally eat kibble with boiled chicken...but I want to make them something special!

I do NOT want to give my dogs table food. I am looking for a simple recipe to make my dogs food "special" for thanksgiving!
Like, on their birthdays, I make them a peanut butter carrot cake (for DOGS!) and this just perks them right up!

I give this as a treat or a specail occasion for my dog. I handed small ones out as party favors at his birthday party. Dogs LOVE them and although they have raw meat they smell like a sweet treat because of the molasses so it doesnt bother us as much...
Satin Balls for Little Dogs

1 lb cheap hamburger (for high fat %)
1 and 1/3 cups Total cereal
1 and 1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal
1 raw egg
6 Tablespoons wheat germ
1 package Knox unflavored gelatin
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons unsulphered molasses
Pinch of salt

Be care changing their diet with something too rich for one day. You say they have sensitive stomachs. This might aggravate the problem.

Maybe if you did something like boiled rice, with low sodium chicken broth with some boiled chicken. Rice should not upset their stomachs and Swanson's makes a 99% fat free, no MSG, low sodium chicken broth.

My dog also has a sensitive stomach and she has been known to take food from the garbage. When she does her tummy gets upset and that's what I feed her. Sometimes I will make it with mashed potatoes.

But remember when you make food for your dog you should not season it at all.

If you haven't already tried it, I would recommend Nature's Recipe pet food... they're food is specifically designed to for those animals that may experience food allergies or intolerances. Not to mention, it's a lot healthier too...

it really isnt a good idea to give any dogs table food..... I suggest those flavored gravies they sell in the larger pet stores. they are made for dogs, and trust me, your dog will consider it a great treat.....
