Woohoo, hi everyone!
Collecting memorabilia from Edward 1st, 2nd and 3rd is a hobby of mine.
Edward 3 was my Great Grandfather x 20 on both my Father's side and my Mother's, So I'm an in-breed :o) , no wonder I'm a bit strange..hehehe.
I've got some coins from the time with ED III's head on them, tiny and very thin. I've got a series of original etchings from the 1700's of Edward 3rd and many of his his predecessors (all the Edwards, and way back to Ethelred I think). My pride and joy is an enormous and very beautiful antique book called "The History of Edward III" printed in 1688. That was 300 years after his death. I've also got the Plantagenet flag etc etc. Me? Obsessed ? Yeah, kinda!
I'm just so excited to be able to tell someone about them. I mean you can't walk up to someone and say "want to see my coins ?" . hehehehe.
We came down through John of Gaunt I believe, I'll have to dig out the pedigree :o)
Again, I'm so glad to "meet:" you all
