Do you often give thumbs up or down to others answerers or you just ignore those answers?

Sometimes, I find people gave thumbs down to some answerers for "I do not know why" reasons, so, I'm very curious and I just want to ask those who regularly give people thumbs, and hope you would explain to me a bit about their rating systems.

For those who always get the thumbs, ... be yourselves and if you are happy about it, who cares!

igrone = you type your answer without reading the other answers, then you go on and search for another question.

'Thumbs' are nothing more than peoples opinions on the answers given. You do know what is said of opinions, I'm sure.

I would give a thumbs 'up' for those answers that are correct, given the question has a right answer. Some advice are better than others...they usually get my vote.

I do not hesitate to click 'down' when an answer is patently incorrect, or if the advice given is so bad that there was no way that the person who posted wanted to help anyone in the least. I also would rate a 'down' for outrageously vulgar or hateful answers, rants or proselytizing.

I do not care one way or another on the hows or whys folks 'rate' my answers. Heck, most of the time I'm glad someone's reading them to form an opinion.

To be honest, I think a lot of people ask questions that they want to hear a certain answer for, and anyone who doesn't tell them what they wanted to hear gets a thumbs down.

I often give thumbs up if I think an answer is good. I only give thumbs down if the answer was rude, spamming, irrelevant or offensive in any way.

I'm only a level 1 too :(, but if I were a Level 2 only the mean ones would get a thumbs down

I will give a thumbs up to a users opinion that is very similar to mine, I then leave it unanswered as there is no point in repeating it. People are entitled to their opinions even if I dont agree with it so I dont give thumbs down.

I rate answers based upon reality of the point of view. I don't give a thumbs down because i would disagree, I give a thumbs down if someone is a smart *** in their answer.

I usually give thumbs up, because I'm a naive and stupidly positive kind of guy. I usually just ignore "bad" answers, BUT -- when someone makes racist or unnecessarily negative answers, I sometime angrily give a thumbs down.

Also, once in a while, when I see that 2 people have given the exact same answer (usually in recipes) for the same question, having cut and pasted them from the web, and neither has given the source, I give a thumbs down when the person asking asked for a home recipe. It's cheating not to look up your own recipe in those cases. (Actually, I never give a web recipe anyway. I'll give web sites when they are asked for, but not web recipes.)

i don't thumbs down people who answer my questions. I merely approximately consistently provide thumbs up, as a thank you to anyone who solutions. If the respond shows something i myself do not accept as true with, I bypass away up and down sparkling. i could merely thumbs down an answer that's impolite or offensive. :)

I gave thumb up to good answers to decent questions, or funny answers to dumb questions. I gave thumb down to wrong answers.

I don't give thumbs up or thumbs down...i think everyones opinion is valid...for the most part.

i only give thumbs down to rude or stupid answers, give thumbs up for funny or true answers. I dont know answers, dont give either.
