You will not qualify for Earned Income Credit. The most that you can earn and still get EIC is $38348 if you have at least 2 chiuldren.

If you file as Married Filing Jointly (with no dependent) your federal tax is $4393. For EIC, the limit is $14120.

If your total income is $52,000, then your taxable income is $34,500. Out of this $18850 is taxed at 15% and remaining at 10%.
