do you mean the advantages of being part of todays military?

well my husband is in the army and although him being away to war sucks...
he still provides my family with a steady paycheck that increases every 6 months (usually), full coverage healthcare with no deductible, and any other resource you can imagine. everything is provided for us. we live in a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms that is provided to us and we dont have to pay for electricity or anything. (provided they take our BAH..but whatever)

and he enjoys being in the military because he can get all of his college payed for, he is provided with the knowledge to get literally any job he would want, and its given him more friends than he knows what to do with. Plus he knows he has the honor of saying he had more guts than half the other people in this world because he is sacrificing his life to give them freedom.

now thats a hero.

in a nation where every decent factory job has gone overseas so that wealthy corporations can be even wealthier, and union jobs are the exception rather than the rule, the army may very well be the only place where a poor person can get a fair shake.

that is if you define fair shake by getting sent to fight a rich man's war for literally no reasonable stated reason...

Why are there so many proud wife's in the military that are little more than just gold diggers? Does it matter to them that they have painted a target on their husbands backside for the meager support and insurance money they'll receive in return? There are no advantages to enlisting in the military. It's a lose/lose situation only!
