I am 35 years old. I'm in good shape and I have a college degree. I am conversant in a second language. Would I qualify for an age waiver so I can obtain an 18x contract and try out for SF? By the time I finished Basic and AIT, I'd be close to 36.

Go to the site listed below.
If you can enlist.
Hit the gym hard, load a rucksack with 60 pounds and work up to twenty miles.
The physical requirements are your main concern, it seems as though you've got the intelectual requirements.
If you plan to stay in, you should plan on a staff position after a few years on a team.
Those "Wild Boys" will wear you out in time, youth has a definate advantage here.

I believe that if you can pass the pre-boot camp physical and under the age of 40 at time of enlistment (just raised last year from 36 yrs old) you can join the special forces.

I think if you want to go SF at 35 you should do it, you'll not regret the decision.

The only thing which you must consider is that by the time you reach your mid 40's it's going to be difficult to keep up with the youngsters...

Any able bodied member of the Armed Forces can be a member of the special forces.
