Just as much as they believe how bogus it was when you said you were going to school to get good grades and be a brain surgeon. Right after your bogus job and not to mention that bogus girlfriend of yours. And should I mention your bogus parents too? Everything is bogus about someone who goes into the future without knowing their bogus past.

Yes, as indeed there are people who believe in the bogus laws of science. A basic example is a bumblebee. Science dictates that a bee can't fly, due to the mass of its body being too heavy to be supported by the length and size of its wings.

Yeah right! Buzz buzz....

But really, leading on from your question, people believe what they want to believe, for their own personal reasons.
This is the individuality that we all should celebrate as humans.

Though I'm a Christian, I do not believe EVERYTHING written in the Bible BECAUSE I'm pretty sure things have been tempered with by the ancient Christian hierarchy!

But that does not diminish the PEACEFUL teaching of CHRIST who, unlike many other biblical and/or non-biblical prophets (especially like the Islamic prophet Mohamed and stuff who preached wars and so on), spoke about peace and love!

Suz E: does that mean if I write a book about...lets say super intelligent Christians (of course its a work of fiction) and chuck in some real life happenings, that in a thousand or so years that could just prove that what what I wrote is real?? OK then. I don't know how people can just believe everything in a book that has so many contradictions in it.

Unfortunately, yes. Nearly 1/4 of the world's population is deluded enough to believe all the bullcrap the bible tells((some of it may be true, some of it may not)), and feel the need to shove it down the throats of many others.
The sad part is that these people then force thier' religions down thier' CHILDRENS throats.
Just as a warning, alot of people will find both this question, and my answer offencive.
Here's a wake up call for you morons who do:
IF GOD IS PERFECT, AND MADE US IN HIS IMAGE
WHY CAN'T WE STOP KILLING EACHOTHER?
WHY IS NEARLY 1/4 OF THE WORLD'S POPULATION STARVING?
WHY IS TOBACCO NOT ILLEGAL?
WHY IS TOBACCO A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY?
WHY ARE WE PERMITTED TO KILL OUR PLANET IN SUCH A PROFIT-DRIVEN WAY?
CAN YOU ACTUALLY LIVE A LIFE WITHOUT SINNING? GUESS WHAT? THAT BABY FOOD YOU ATE WHEN YOU WERE A YEAR OR SO OLD HELPED KILL THE PLANET.((It likely included petroleum products, or was manufactured in a plant spewing thousands of tonnes of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere every year, and/or was placed in a jar manufactured in a similar manner.))
DEAL WITH IT.
((If God exists, why would he have created all these other religions?))

No, but I understand that there are some who are arrogant to a degree that they consider anything they cannot understand as being bogus.

smacsx: "Each to their own, if there not hurting anyone why be nasty about it?"

I agree there is no need to be nasty about it, and that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, BUT only if they do not intrude on other peoples beliefs.

smacsx, your comment on it not hurting anyone is totally untrue. Haven't you ever heard of gay bashings. Now I know not all Christians agree with gay bashings but the fact remains that there are some out there that do it and justify it by the bible. And this is just one example.
