Hah, good one.

Ted Haggard commits a gay sex act and is defrocked.

Jimmy Swaggert is caught TWICE with prostitutes and is as popular as ever.

Go figure.

I'm a Christian gay man and I don't believe it's a sin to be gay. However, if sinners cannot be Christians, then there will be no Christians since we ALL fall short of the glory of God.

Homophobia is a sin according to the Bible. People not treating others as they want to be treated violates Christ's commandment. It results in harm to others and therefore is immoral. If a Christian is homophobic or has homophobic thoughts, that person would need to stop such behavior, repent and pray for forgiveness. I'm sorry, no offense to anyone, but homophobia is wrong and should not be tolerated or approved of. It's just another sin that is destroying our society.

A person that is gay is not a christian, So there is no gay-christians, Now there is people that once practice gay, & they became a christian, There is no sin except sinning against the holy Ghost that God will not forgive, But there is a qualification for the ministry, One qualification is they must be the Husband of one wife, & Blameless, which means yes they were sinners, but they never did commited some sin that will leave a mark on their life forever, Because they can not have the world pointing their fingers at them saying yes I know him he cheated me out of money or so on, they have to be blameless where the world can not point a finger at them.----------Friend I hate to tell you that these preachers you mention was never Born again, they profess something & yet they lied to the public, So once again these preachers was not born again.

The keyword in your quote is 'because', and not 'gayness', 'sinfulness', or 'preachers'. Look in the bible , esp. the OT, and see, the word 'because' occurs more than all the others I mentioned above combined. Blame is the oldest trick in the book, and after all these years, it's still the #1 money-maker on the planet. The serpent still 'rules in the Garden' to this day, and the favorite teaching method of preachers is the 'why-because' trick. Have a nice day.

Homesexuality is an abomination according to the Bible. Men having sex with men is not normal. Gay "relationships" would include the above acts. If a Christian is gay or has gay thoughts, that person would need to stop such behavior , repent and pray for forgiveness. I'm sorry, no offense to anyone, but homosexuality is wrong and should not be tolerated or approved of. Its just another sin that is destroying our society.

You can sin and still be a preacher.
Just look at all those child molesting priests throughout the years, and the effort the church went to, to cover it all up.
These men were still priests after the church found out what they were doing. They were not excommunicated. As long as they begged forgivness, it was alright.
Or, perhaps, the church sees sex between two consenting adults of the same sex to be more of a sin than raping and destroying the life of an innocent child, usually of the same sex. Or maybe if a priest rapes a child, it's not a sin.
Not sure. Not religious.

Jesus says in the Bible, "Come to Me"...
So everyone should NOT wait until they get rid of the sins to go to Jesus. Therefore, gay people CAN be Christians.
I'm not sure about the preachers, but every Christian must spread the Gospel, I think...

To sin is one thing but to practice sin or to make it your lifestyle, is not something that a Christian should do. But someone who is homosexual can be a Christian, what makes you a Christian is to do what is said in Roman 10: 9 & 10 then follow the teachings of Christ, thus that person should make every effort to rid himself or herself of the sin of homosexuality as they should with all sin.

Homosexuality is not a sin, homosexual relationships are not mentioned in the Bible.

The Bible mentions some specific same-sex acts in specific situations but the ones that are referred to are not common features of gay relationships at all and would then have been commonly enacted by otherwise married straight men.

Homosexuals do not have sex with their male slaves in their wives beds as was common then ...slaves being seen as mere property to be used as one wished (Leviticus?).

Gang rape is not a feature of homosexual relationships (The story of Sodom & Gommorah). (even then it was not the reason the towns were destroyed, they were already scheduled for destruction before hand)

Same-sex with sacred Pagan temple prostitutes is not a feature of homosexual relationships (Romans). It was considered usual and sacred to unite physically with the Pagan deity of the Temple in those times by having sex with the temple priests and priestesses.

All these above are what we do see referred to in the Bible, there is nothing about homosexual relationships at all.
