Please teach us about the quantum fish, you are our messiah!!

2007-11-17 23:22:46 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I believe in the existence of a gold quantum fish in the center of the universe. I have put all of my faith and trust in said fish, and am patiently waiting for it to answer my prayers for a new deep-fryer and tartar sauce maker. I cannot imgine why I am not getting what I pray for, unless the Almighty Golden Carp has answered my prayer with a 'no'. I'll just have to accept this and move on, I suppose. Perhaps, since this test of faith is over, I can start praying for some caviar for the holidays. Surely the GC isn't anti-abortion....

The gold quantum fish used to exist in the center of the universe, but it was bumped from it's position by a teapot, that had been randomly travelling through space. It's now moving through space, the same as but on a different path to the teapot.

Easy: The universe either has no defined center and therefore nothing in it (science), or Earth is a the center of the universe yet clearly not a gold quantum fish (Abrahamic monotheism).

This sounds like Russell's Teapot.

What part does such a fish have in my life? Is it important? Why should I care?

We seek those things that are important to us. I know that I was either created or not. If I am created, then life can have real purpose and real meaning. What is the most often asked question on Y!A? Isn't it about purpose and meaning?

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (mathematician, philosopher and Nobel Laureate)

Since purpose and meaning are obviously important and God is necessary for both, seeking God is important. But your fish isn't.

I thought the universe had no center, according to some theories. But if the universe did, I bet it would be candy-coated goodness.

First we'd have to decide just exactly what it was...you know a definition of it and it's qualities I guess...only then we might go on to consider it's possible existence or not.
