God could forgive Satan, but that's not the problem: if Satan wanted forgiveness, and asked for it and received it, then Satan would have to obey God, submit, and take orders from Adam...and that would NEVER do... now that Adam knows about what Satan did with his wife...

Every good book has a bad guy. The writters tried to get God to forgive the devil but the producers wouldn't have it. Some of promoters pulled their advertisement. So they had to work the Devil back in as a bad guy.

If the devil was really sorry I think God would forgive him, but the devil is so evil that he hates God so the devil isn't going to ask.

Early Christian religions believed that the God in the Old Testament was the Devil because he was wrathful. The God of the New Testament is loving and hasn't yet turned anyone into salt.

Well, if the ancient beliefs are true, the devil is God's right hand man. He is in charge of regulating evil on Earth and reporting your sins to God. He is the tempter, and the controller of evil, but isn't really evil himself.
That is the ancient beliefs of him though, now he is regarded as a total a-hole that wants to rule the world with a little pitchfork and eat your babies.

There is something called Apocatastasis which says that in the end God and Satan will be reconciled. The main stream Christian churches, however, reject it believing that once you've made your choice, to accept or reject God, God will respect that choice forever. The devil has made his choice and we are now making ours. What's yours going to be?

It's not a matter of proving themselves. Forgiveness is just part of a process of healing a broken relationship. It's not just a few words and then you're on your way.

i think its because gods a little bit immature, a bit like those parents who hit their kids. I think its probably insecurities really, he thinks he has to keep the devil locked up a bit like the way dictators lock up or kill their political opponents. Leave him and join my religion. HAIL FLOYD!
