What good is any religion if it is not accompanied by spirituality?

Question

What are the most elevating teachings that can be extracted from the world's religions?

Wouldn't it be better to follow the preachings of Love & Tolerance rather than debate who holds the ultimate truth?

If all of the prophets and sages of ancient times or on a smaller scale, let's say if Abraham, Buddha, Jesus and Muhammad were gathered together, do you think they would fight each other?
If the answer is no, then why do so many of those who consider themselves their most fervent followers always seem to seek querell or wage war against devotees of other religions?

Sorry if I asked more than 1 question just now but I think they all fit together pretty well. Please answer as honestly as you can, I will not block anyone.

You've asked some very important questions here. What if all each of us concentrated on every day was to love and allow ourselves to be love? What if the only agenda anyone ever had was to peacefully and joyously love everyone and everything they came in contact with (including themselves, of course)???

Would it be a different world? I believe it would be. But I also believe that it is possible for us to live this way ourselves and by being a loving person to everyone and everything, we will, in turn, receive back the same energy and vibration that we are putting out.

So, why would we need to fight anymore? What would be the use? There is enough for everyone. When our life is filled with joy and happiness, we truly want others to be happy, too. There would be no need to fight, to go to war, or to even argue with those who believed differently than ourselves. There could be peace.

I realize this all sounds idealistic. I wanted to share these ideas with you because I have experienced this. I have felt this much joy and peace. It is wonderful and I always wonder why I would ever want to be anywhere else or to focus on anything else.

Unconditional love is not about tolerating ignorance or evil. If you love someone you will be willing to tell them the truth whether they want to hear it or not. If the truth offends you, that is your problem. Does tolerance mean we just overlook mean actions or greed? How is it that you see love and tolerance as being equal? Should we be tolerant of child abusers, molesters rapists and murderers? Where do we draw the line?

Controls the masses and keeping them producing to feed the machine is the goal of religion. That is why the work ethic is tied to Deity worship. If food was free no one would work like they do now and no one would bother with religion in it's present form.
