JER 44:17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil. ISA 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Spirits cannot be confirmed as truth, but nor can God. A fundamentalist would probably say you are betraying God with 'witchcraft' and such, but in a sensible opinion, you aren't truly doing anything harmful, so you are betraying noone, dear.

Witch boards, are based on the thoughts that exist within you. I think the greater you believe that the spirit is there, the more existent it will be to you, whether it is there or not. If you truly made contact with the spirit, and truly believe it, then it will come back to you again if you meditate and call upon it.

DO NOT go to any specialist of "Spirits" who you can look up in a phone book blindly. If you do, check and double check that it isn't a scam.

Your best resources though are your mind and soul.

I see your getting answers and varying opinions that are telling you yes to no and everything in between, but since you ask about betraying God, lets see what His word says: In Ecclesiastes Chapter 9 (King James Version) verses 5-6 says, 5For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they ANY MORE a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in ANY thing that is done under the sun.
Galatians 5:19-21 (King James Version) says: 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20Idolatry, WITCHCRAFT, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God. So your not betraying God your being disobedient and rebelling against God. So there you go straight from God's word to you.

why u keep asking about things that some people don't know but they like to offend u?? U can't betray the God u believe in, just for the simply fact u feel some spirits around u. Let's say u got a gift, to feel the presents of someone near u even if u can't see it, are others who can see them or some who can see the future , are people with many skills. If u believe in yourself it's enough and u should develop your skills.

Jessica, God the father can do something at any time. he's in heaven yet that doesn't recommend he can not harm you. not that he would intentionally do issues to harm human beings easily, he has the flexibility. it is not our nature to betray all people, even God. Your question is unquestionably one of 'ultimatum' and counting on the condition, we'd p.c.. our relatives first as you wrote. working occasion would be in the previous testomony and the story of Abraham and his son. God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son on an regulate. This replaced right into a try of religion. Abraham observed via to the element of status on the sting (metaphorically) while God despatched an angel right down to provide up Abraham and to enable him comprehend that it replaced right into a try of religion and Abraham confirmed finished faith in God the father. on condition which you had entered right into a covenant with Heavenly Father over some thing very intense would be pushing you to the cut back of gratifying that covenant in spite of if it meant hurting your loved ones. i don't think God would placed that for the period of the previous us immediately yet, a time would come sooner or later that would desire to attempt you. You asked a powerful question. thank you

My friend, stay away from such things ... they are tricks from the devil and they will lead you down a path that you do not want end up in.
These are all satanic practices that have been passed down for centuries, and God has no desire for you to do so. Spiritual realm is something that Only God can prevail in. St Paul writes and say that any such practices are a clear blasphime against the Holy Spiritual and is refuted by God.
Once someone's spirit departs, it goes back to God, and this is a well known fact and writen by Solomon in the old testament and reiterated by Christ in the new testament. Any other spirit that you come in contact with are from the legions of evil spirits that have been cast out of heaven, other words, Satan and his demons ... do you really want to dabble with that?
God bless you my friend ... I pray you will stay well and safe.

Are you sure there were ghosts? What benefit will you get If you contact this spirit?
Don't get yourself into trouble with the metaphysical world, it doesn't sound safe. After all the devil could be playing tricks on you, so don't let him.

It may be betraying the god and teachings of some religions, but in another faith, it is common or even encouraged practice.

What you have to ask yourself is which god and or faith do you hold. Do you trust it to be good and sound in its teachings? If you do, then don't go against them, they are that way for a reason.

If you don't believe they are sound, then find something you can believe and trust in.

there is no point in having a faith or a god if you don't intend to follow its ways.

If you are going to do whatever you want, when you want...fine, but then understand that you have decided that YOU are your own god. that's fine, but be honest about it.

Not betraying God, and I personally want you to make contact with them. I also want you to try and document it, so there can be more proof of the afterlife.

so it seems like you have the gift of sensing spirits. that's awesome! um, supposedly, from what i got from the religion i tried to conform to and from what i hear from the Bible, trying to contact the dead is considered witchcraft and black magic. however, this is up to God to decide and we really can't say anything in my opinion cuz we aren't the ones who decides who goes to heaven or hell or if it's betraying God.
I mean, he used Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus so...I don't really know what I was thinking when I wrote that but... you know....
