where did he come from?

Alpha and Omega

God told Moses that he should tell the Israelites ""I am who I am" and Jesus made this claim by saying, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

God is the Alpha and the Omega, He is infinite, He is the beginning and the end. God is complete. God cannot come from anywhere nor be subject to a time line.

That's an interesting question. Because if God was created at some point, then there is the implication that some greater being created God. And then an even greater being must have created the greater being that created God.

Or you could argue that God sprang into existence from the great nothingness, but then you have the problem of creating something from nothing. And isn't this the same problem people who believe in God are trying to avoid in claiming that God created the universe.

Or maybe God was created from a chaos of matter and energy that existed before he created the universe. But wouldn't this be close to Darwin's theory of evolution? Or at least it would show that matter and energy can randomly form greater things - and that's basically the same idea as how stars, planets, and other objects form. So if God could be made this way, why couldn't stars and planets.

Why are you wasting your time asking a question that no-one has the answer for. You will get opinions but that's all because no-one really knows whether God exists or not.

God was created when bronze age men needed a way to explain earthquakes, floods, lightning, eclipses, etc. God came from the imagination of primitive man.
The entire old testament is a good example of this.
