16 isn't late at all. It's right about ontime. Your long bones
are probably just about done growing and so, won't develop, or probably won't develop a bend from the weight. You know, things like bow legs. Long bones of those your age and younger are plyable to allow for growth and under the stress of heavy weight may bend and then harden in the bent position. You don't want that.

Nah, that's a good age to start. Any time to work out is a good thing, and exercise part of a healthy lifestyle. Don't forget, at that age your body is still developing. So get with a qualified trainer to come up with a good routine. Discuss what exercises work best for you at your level of physical development. Don't over exert yourself, and have fun.

Don't be silly. Any time is good to start doing physical exercise, it's important for your health. Just start off slow and find a programme and activites that are good for you. Anyway, I think this is just the right time, your body has gone through the more pivotal changes, so you can't do much harm to yourself easily. Just eat healthy and make sure you don't burn youself out right at the start. Good luck!
