The question should read 'are you religious/christian?'.

If the answer is yes then you can make up an answer that you feel most comfortable with, by finding meaning from the closest match in the bible.

It is the same as anything in the bible, you just find a situation which is vaguely similar then twist the meaning to suit your ends.

The real answer is that there is no answer. It doesn't matter as the unborn child has never been, nor will ever be, a person in the humanitarian sense of the word.

The child has felt no pain, even if it had how would it comprehend pain?

The child has never contemplated what it would be like not to have the priviledge of leaving the womb. -(how could it it has no language)

The child has not yet comprehended how to comprehend.

How can it be acceptable to kill a cow that has lived for many years and has many freinds and experience?
A cow knows what it means when its fellow bovine friends lie down and die. -and it knows it doesn't want this to happen to himself.

It is kinder to kill a 2 week old baby stone dead than it is to kill a cow with 5 years of life under it's belt.

I don’t think there are any unborn Babies in Heaven.

Heaven is the Dwelling place of God , Shekinah, the space between the two Cherubim on the Ark of the covenant , behind the 2nd curtain in the Most Holy Place . All Jews , including Jesus and the 12 disciples know that only God exists there , not anything else , including unborn babies.

We should worry about where we are going to go. bcos a child not born doesnt know what is sorrow and joy. It has got a different dimension from the people living outside. Even among living humans the definition of heaven for a African poor man and a rich amercian will be entirely different. we cant even define precisely heaven for us becos of 2 things. In this life we have everything with respect to time. and also we have got positive and negative is all the aspects of life. In heaven there wont be anything negative at all and it is eternal. No time limit.

Unborn children who die are subject to;
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

The small number who do have a heavenly future...

(Revelation 20:4) And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years.

Have a specific job to do...
'
Children would not have the earthly experience to fulfill this role.

In Islam, not only unborn children, but all children whop have not yet reached the age of puberty go to Heaven. Thats because children are innocent little things, who cannot judge with their little minds. Its mainly their parents' wishes that they follow. God is the Most Merciful and Just, He does not punish those that are innocent.

If you are talking the christian heaven; firstly nobody that dies gets to go to heaven yet anyway until judgement day. Secondly, i don't know about nowadays but many years ago children that were not christened or baptised didn't get to be buried on hallowed (sacred) ground... so I guess in those days they thought no..... as for now? I have no idea.

from a pagan point of view, and as a mother that has had a few miscarriages I know my babes have gone on to the summerlands where they will go on to choose their next life...

I sincerely believe I have a daughter in heaven whose name is Elizabeth that was miscarried. I prayed fervently for her life, when my wife's pregnancy was in trouble. About as fervently as possible and beyond. Still the Lord said no but comforted me in this. Now I have a healthy 13 year old boy. In retrospect I believe that there was something terribly wrong with Elizabeth and God spared us that. He does know what is best and I submit to his will in the big things. He's working on the so-called small areas of my life in which I am slow in yielding, if truth be known. Actually nothing is small. Anyway, life is hard but God is good, very good.

No they don't.

The bible says the dead are conscious of nothing,
A persons thoughts perish.

What God has promised in the bible is a resurrection. There are 9 recorded resurrections in the bible including Jesus.

Those infants may have the opportunity to live again. How that will be the Bible does not say.
But that is the hope for everyone. The bible says the resurrection is of the righteous and unrighteous.

So persons who have not heard the message of Jesus sacrifice, can have an opportunity to live again and make that decision.

Most people in my experience tend to believe yes.

The Catholic church officially said no until very recently when they changed their minds.

I don't think I think there is a heaven.

I would not have thought so. Since this imaginary Heaven thing is only for people who are scared of Dying.
